Archive for October 2010

Was just going through my favourite poems archive and I came across this one 🙂 I just loved it all over again : )
It’s so intriguing and although it tells you to follow love but it’s also filled with warnings and big no no signs! And it doesn’t even end up on a happy note or a bad note. It’s just as if it’s an infinite whirlpool of torture that wouldn’t end and that we will continue to drag ourselves to all the time!?

Anyway.. enjoy the lovely poem by this great writer .. Hope it’s a good start of the week : )

When love beckons to you, follow him

When love beckons to you, follow him,
Though his ways are hard and steep.
And when his wings enfold you yield to him,
Though the sword hidden among his pinions
May wound you.
And when he speaks to you believe in him,
Though his voice may shatter your dreams
As the north wind lays waste the garden.
For even as love crowns you
So shall he crucify you.
Even as he is for your growth
So is he for your pruning.
Even as he ascends to your height and caresses
Your tenderest branches that quiver in the sun,
So shall he descend to your roots and
Shake them in their clinging to the earth.
